The failure mode is not wear, it is refusal

Workwear is bought on price more often than any other category of branded clothing, and it is the one where buying cheap costs the most, because the crew simply stops wearing it.

A coverall that is too hot, that will not go on over boots, or that splits at the pocket corner in month two does not get worn. You then have unbranded crews and a spend you cannot repeat. Specify for the person wearing it ten hours a day, not for the purchase order.

Match the weight to the work

Heavyweight denim for trades and abrasion. Quilted insulation for outdoor winter work. Light poly-cotton for indoor and counter work. Putting a warehouse team in an insulated coverall guarantees it comes off by ten in the morning.

Flame resistance is not a fabric choice alone

This is the one that catches people out. Standard heat-transfer vinyl or polyester thread on a certified FR garment creates a spot that melts, and invalidates the certification for the whole coverall. FR-rated thread and FR-compatible transfers are the only correct answer, and any supplier should be able to say so unprompted.

Put the branding where it survives and shows

The bib panel on a bib overall, the chest on a coverall. Both stay visible whether the wearer is standing or crouched, and both can be reinforced with a backing so the embroidery survives industrial laundry.
